Psalm 133

Psalm 133
The Unity and Blessing of Israel in the Millennium

Psalm 133. This Psalm describes another aspect of Israel’s restoration: the unity that will be seen in the twelve tribes of Israel. The stick of Joseph and the stick of Judah become one in the hand of Jehovah (Ezek. 37:19). There is unity and blessing for restored Israel, the oil a type of the blessing of the Holy Spirit poured out. A 3000-year old division will be healed! The mention of “eternal life” both here and in Daniel 12 is not the same as in John 3 or John 17. It refers to life in the Millennial kingdom; “life for evermore”. Hermon is the highest peak in Palestine, and the dew which descends from those heights is a symbol of God’s blessing to Israel on earth.

PSALM 133
A Song of degrees. Of David.
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 Like the precious oil upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, upon Aaron’s beard, that ran down to the hem of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon that descendeth on the mountains of Zion; for there hath Jehovah commanded the blessing, life for evermore.
